The 15th ESD Learning Programme for the 2026/27 Academic Year is Calling for Enrollment!

The ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) Learning Programme is a 5-month project-based and experiential learning programme hosted by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association. Since its launch in 2009, more than 5,500 students from more than 100 schools have participated, building a great reputation over the years.

Aiming to cultivate future leaders in advancing the sustainable development goals, the program corresponds to UNESCO’s “Education for Sustainable Development 2030 Roadmap”, strengthening eight interdisciplinary skills for sustainable development, including collaborative, strategic, anticipatory, normative, critical thinking, self-awareness, system thinking and comprehensive problem-solving competency, inspiring students to think about the relationship between the environmental, social, economic and cultural aspects of sustainable development, encouraging them to apply sustainable development knowledge and skills into their studies and future careers.

Dedicated to promoting 2030 Education for Sustainable Development, the UNESCO Hong Kong Association will continue to organize the 15th ESD Learning Programme in the academic year of 2026-27. The topics of this year include (1) Protect Marine Ecosystems, (2) Cultural Heritage Conservation, (3) Mental Health and Wellbeing, (4) ESG Innovation Young Leaders, and (5) Life Education Leadership Programme (Primary Group) )

The programme has been well supported by professionals and academic institutions from various fields, enabling us to organize a variety of study experiences for students, including seminars, workshops, field trips, mentoring, student presentation and award ceremony.
