UNESCO Hong Kong Association held the first UN60 Exhibition at the Hong Kong Central Library. The unprecedented exhibition showcased the history of the United Nations in the past 70 years. This exhibition consisted of UN70 Photos and Exhibition Panels, UN Depository Collection and UN Documents/ Artifacts. The exhibition period was from 6 January to 23 February 2016.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, UNESCO HK held the UN70 Exhibition as part of the UN70 Peace & Sustainable Development Youth Programme. To curate this special exhibit, UNESCO HK collaborated with the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library’s “70 Years, 70 Documents” exhibit, which presented 70 key documents/ photos that have shaped the UN and our world. The photos depicted the critical historic moments, in which the UN contributed greatly to the promotion of peace and security, humanitarianbi8sm, development and human rights in the past 70 years.
