font-size: small;\">Requirements:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">All the projects should reflect in some way on the conference theme. &#8216;Borders&#8217; can be throught of in a more symbolic way<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">Try to express the theme in a way that young people will like and will understand<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Each delegation is asked to search (online) partnership with another school or group. CEI encourages collaboration and information-sharing between students of different countries.<\/span><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The projects will be presented at the conference. You will have to prepare a poster exhibition of your project to be exhibited during the conference.<\/span><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">All the project presentations are required to be in English.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">Conference<\/span><\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">During the conference delegates will be encouraged to present their projects orally, make a poster exhibition of their project, study local environmental challenges in field trips and workshops, and to evaluate and share their findings and recommendations with local policy-makers.<\/span><\/p><p><b><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">Field trips<\/span><\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the wider EUregion Meuse-Rhine in Field trip groups. Field trips will lead to the St-Pieters Hill in Maastricht, the city of Aachen, Germany, the natural reserve called &#8216;Hoge kempen&#8217; in Belgium and the so-called &#8216;three countries point&#8217; in Vaals. There you will have the chance to visit various local Environmental initiatives, meet with the people that make them happen and learn about the local Environmental challenges.<\/span><\/p><p><b><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">Workshops<\/span><\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">Delegates can choose to attend various challenging workshops that will reflect on the conference theme. Recommendation groups will reflect on the field trips and delegates will have the opportunity to share their findings with local policy makers.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><u>Topics<\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1. Borders:\u00a0earn about the meaning of borders and create their own country&#8217;s constitution<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. Arts &amp; Environment:\u00a0experience an inter-disciplinary creative work-out<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. Rights&amp; Responsibilities:\u00a0draft statements for the international CEI &#8216;Rights and Responsibilities&#8217; youth declaration<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4. Cradle to Cradle: design consumer products that can be recycled<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><b><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: small;\">Accommodation<\/span><\/b><\/p><p>Main location of the conference will be the Maastricht\u00a0city\u00a0park, directly outside of the the Historic city centre. Delegates will be accomodated at the ECO-certified Stayokay youth hostel, which is located directly at the river Meuse.
