Introduction:
Teachers who have finished the training programme can organize and develop school-based curriculum related to natural and cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage. Primary students can build the awareness of love and care for heritage and protection of the environment from a young age, while secondary students can have visits of cultural heritage conservation sites, experience of innovation and technology, learning and research of nature, etc., so as to encourage students to take part in world heritage conservation and recondition, and monitoring of heritage. Meanwhile, they can participate in various educational activities like world heritage summer camps, youth forums, Model World Heritage Conference, world heritage drawing, heritage application and cultural dissemination activities.
Programme Details:
Participants: 20 local primary and secondary school teachers
Format: online lecture (15 hours), site visit (6 hours), presentation and evaluation (3 hours)
Language: Chinese and English
Certificate of Completion will be granted to teachers who have finished the 24-hour training programme (with 80% attendance rate)
