Run for Peace 2017

UNESCO Hong Kong Association presented its first Run for Peace 10 km and 20 km race, with organiser My Mircle and title sponsor Evergrande Spring Water on September 10, 2017 in the UNESCO Global Geopark, Sai Kung, with 800 participants. The theme of the event is to co-create a better world, which supports UNESCO’s mission of building peace.

Various Actions for Peace activities were organised, such as Calligraphy for Peace and Plant for Peace in the starting area for runners and other participants.

UNESCO HK Ambassador, Alex Fong was present to support Run for Peace.

Among the runners, were Consul Generals of America and Iran, students of local and ethnic minority, and sight-impaired runners as well as singer Alex Lam and Ansheles.
